Resolute Bay 2013
After a few years of passing through Resolute on the way to Grise Fiord -we finally got to do a full project for this community. Wow it was cold some days ! Minus 65 with the wind chill. But spirits were lifted as the sun had just returned from there being darkness for a few months ! What a great surprise to find out that our old friend Cellina Kalluk was back in town. We also launched our “Kool to be Kind” anti-bullying program and we were excited to honor 2 youth and one community member.Cassandra, Josh And Matthew Nungaq. It was an exciting time to be there as the Education commissioner was in town along with Resolute’s MLA Ron Elliot, and Nunavut’s Commissioner Edna Elias who presented Diamond Jubilee medals. Much love to our friend Auzzie and his family as we are always excited to reconnect. Special thanks goes out to the health committee who worked so hard to bring us, and to First Air for supplying flights to Resolute, and ATCO for accommodation. Blueprint will always have a special place in our hearts for the high Arctic ! We look forward to seeing a film on that week that the students are working on.
