Ivujivik 2009

A remote Inuit community at the top of Quebec. Evie Mark (She’s part of Blueprints team) is from here and was with us for the weeks workshop along with Sylvia Cloutier. We also had a teacher come from Akulivik with a few students. One of my favorite graffiti murals was created by the youth in this community. They used the metaphor of the dog team working together for a common goal to represent themselves – stating “We Have A Voice”. Some of Blueprint (Shatterstar, Pieces and the teacher from Akulivik) did a polar swim which was truly impressive. We hoped to come back someday and in 2012 we did.
