Selkirk First Nation

North of Whitehorse in Pelly Crossing ! We were excited to do our first workshop in the Yukon! Nesta Hager worked really hard getting us here and participated throughout the week. Thanks Nesta. There was also an amazing group of Elders who volunteered each day to cook for the youth, supplying healthy snacks and a nice hot lunch. We even took time to do a community clean up picking up garbage outside around the community center. We were also blessed to have Emily and Courtney from BYTE involved. (Bringing Youth Towards Equality) They introduced us to lots of great team building games which the youth really enjoyed. Blueprint also welcomed Breaker Nick to our team -a homegrown bboy from GWS crew in Whitehorse. The scenery of the Yukon is stunning and our drive from Carmacks everyday was beautiful. We were also blessed to see two grizzly’s up close at the side of the road. Check out the beautiful graffiti the youth created that equally represented both the crow and wolf clans. Thanks for having us Pelly !
