FAQ

This is always the biggest question !  What does a project cost ?

Every project is different as it really needs to be created in consultation with local educational and social agencies that work with youth. We also want to carefully examine cultural considerations and consider ways of partnering with local youth leaders.

The size of the project and its duration will effect the cost, as this will also impact how many people we will assemble in our team and the variety of skill sets they bring with them.

Above and beyond all project cost for creation and delivery, all travel, accommodation and living expenses must be covered. One of the best ways to offset a projects cost is to access local, provincial and national funding programs for dealing with the wide range of issues that face youth.  These may fall under the areas of Suicide Prevention, Bullying, Addictions and Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence, Criminal and Youth Justice Issues, Gang Prevention Programs, Educational and Health, Fitness and Recreational Programs.

We have already been involved in the creation of a variety of proposals to access funding from a range of government resources. We are happy to assist your team in offering examples of how such proposals were written as there may well be similarities in how our past projects addresses the issues your funding agents are concerned with.

How long should a project be?

This really depends on what you hope to accomplish. We feel that an intense program of 5 days is a good length as it brings a level of intensity to the youth that fosters self evaluation and team building among peers. It also allows for real relationships of support to be fostered between the team from BluePrintForLife and the youth in your community.  This is just the start, long term followup of support for the youth needs to be planned within your community to keep this positive energy and confidence in the youth growing.
